Wear lip balm.

Dry lips in the dental chair are no fun. To have a comfortable experience, moisturize with lip balm or request a Vaseline application prior to the appointment.

Light make-up, if any.

Avoid thick, cakey make-up, bright lipstick, or anything else that may smear. We recommend a brightening serum or light facial moisturizer and lip balm. Think le-no-makeup makeup as popularized by the French. We have a vanity area and private restroom where you can apply cosmetics after the appointment.

Eat well.

Sometimes, the suction isn't loud enough to cover up a grumbling stomach. We have all been there. Eat well, especially if your appointment requires anesthesia. We want to avoid hangry patients.

Wear comfy clothes.

The young kids are doing it .... wearing pajamas to school AND the dental office! We love to see it! Your comfort is our priority. Wear your favorite jogger, jean, or oversized sweater.

Bring accessories.

Yes, our patients bring their favorite items to the appointment. Headphones, a weighted blanket, sunnies to block the light, eye mask, neck pillows, stuffed animals, or fidget spinners. Whatever you need!

Brush your teeth (or not).

Some patients feel better brushing before hand. Others allow us to take care of it. It's really up to you. Feel free to ask us for a toothbrush if you left yours at home. Just make sure to arrive a few minutes early so we don't run into your appointment time.

Book Childcare.

Something that sets us apart is our kids room. we have a dedicated space where little ones can play during your appointment. Let us know ahead of time if you need someone to watch over your littles so we can book it. Or feel free to bring the spouse, nanny and grandparents along!

Inform the staff of other needs.

We tr to take care of our patients both at the dental office and outside of it. If you have additional needs, such as a time to leave by, assistance from the car, or product questions, please let us know prior to your appointment.

Try to relax.

For some, this is easier said than done. Let us know if you have anxiety so we can prescribe the correct pre-treatment for you. We also have a meditation room in the back that you can book. All bookings must be made at least 48 hours prior to your appointment and is subject to availability.

There you have it! Our best tips for a great time in the dental chair. See you at the office!
